Chamber Board Chair
As we welcome 2026, we are grateful for the opportunity to reflect on the progress made over the past year and to look ahead with confidence and purpose. On behalf of the Chamber Board of Directors and staff, thank you for your continued investment in the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce and for the trust you place in this organization.
Throughout 2025, our guiding theme was A Seat at the Table—and it was more than a slogan. It was a commitment. It meant creating intentional opportunities for Chamber investors to be heard, engaged, and involved in shaping the direction of our business community. It meant expanding dialogue between business leaders, elected officials, educators, and community partners. Most importantly, it meant ensuring the Chamber remained a place where relationships are built, perspectives are valued, and decisions are informed by those doing business in Lufkin and Angelina County every day.
Because of your engagement in 2025, the Chamber strengthened its role as a convener and advocate. Investor input helped guide priorities around workforce development, leadership programming, infrastructure, and public policy. New voices joined committees and task forces, long-standing investors leaned in with renewed energy, and collaboration across sectors continued to grow. Having a seat at the table translated into real impact—stronger partnerships, clearer advocacy, and a more responsive Chamber.
As we move into 2026, we are building on that foundation. Our strategic focus remains centered on impact, relevance, and sustainability, with continued emphasis on workforce and talent development, economic vitality, and meaningful community engagement. The Chamber will remain steadfast in its role as a Connector of Leaders and Influencers, a Catalyst for Business Growth, and a Champion for a Stronger Community.
We will continue to advocate for policies and initiatives that support business success, invest in leadership and education partnerships that strengthen our workforce pipeline, and deliver programs and services that provide value to investors of all sizes. At the heart of this work is our commitment to relationships and to what we often describe as unreasonable hospitality—serving our investors and community with excellence, care, and intentionality.
Your investment makes this work possible, and your involvement makes it meaningful. As we step into 2026, we invite you to remain engaged, share your voice, and continue taking your seat at the table as we work together to move Lufkin and Angelina County forward.
