The International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA) paid tribute to the 30th Annual Texas State Forest Festival during the 20th Anniversary of the IFEA/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Award Ceremony held at the IFEA’s 60th Anniversary Convention & Expo. Awards were won in the following categories:

GOLD – Most Creative/Effective News Stunt

SILVER – Best Volunteer Program

BRONZE - Best Newspaper Insert/Supplement

BRONZE - Best Sponsor Partner (Brookshire Brothers)

BRONZE – Best Emergency Preparedness & Risk Management Plan for an Event

BRONZE – Best Press/Media Kit

The Texas State Forest Festival had another successful year with many national and international awards. The festival brings a large amount of business and tourism to Angelina County with crowds approaching 30,000 over the course of five days. After 31 years, the festival continues to grow as a premier annual event in East Texas.
