Do you have an idea for a new product or business? Want a chance to present your idea to local leaders and win $5,00? Then the Made In Lufkin business competition is for you!

Made in Lufkin is an opportunity for individuals and businesses with ideas for a new business and/or products to showcase a business plan to judges for the chance to win $5,000 cash. The catch – you will be competing against others and their business ideas and plans.

The Made In Lufkin business competition is intended to simulate the real-world process of entrepreneurs soliciting start-up funds from early-stage investors and venture capital firms. The judges’ function as venture capital investors deciding on which business venture they would most likely fund. The quality of the idea, the strength of the management team, and the clarity and persuasiveness of the written plan and oral presentation, all influence the judges’ decisions. Ultimately, the winning team should be the team in which the judges would most likely invest money. The final winner will be announced at the Annual Chamber Banquet & Meeting to be held on January 26th at the Pitser Garrison Convention Center
