Now Accepting Nominations for Salute to Healthcare 2021

Published Friday, September 10, 2021

Nominations are now being accepted in four categories for the Salute to Healthcare 2021, presented by St. Luke’s Health Memorial. Anyone in the community, whether working in the healthcare field or not, can nominate someone as Nurse of the Year, Healthcare Professional of the Year, Individual of Merit or Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient. Any individual, professional, student, or volunteer, who through their individual or collective actions have made an extraordinary impact in the Lufkin/Angelina County healthcare community may be nominated. The deadline to submit a nomination form is September 24, 2021.

The nominee’s acts of service will represent a display of dedication to excellence in their area of expertise beyond the scope of their jobs. Through their commitment to their profession and community, they serve as an inspiration to others in an effort to improve the quality of healthcare and discover new ways to assist those in need. The recipient in each category will be selected by an anonymous panel of judges.

Nomination forms can be found HERE.

Due to the rising COVID-19 cases, Salute to Healthcare has been combined with the November First Friday Luncheon. The event will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 12 PM at Crown Colony Country Club. The winner in each category will be announced at the luncheon.

Nomination forms and materials accompanying the nomination form will become property of the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce and remain on file for three years with an annual updated nomination form. A short description on the recipients may be printed in the Lufkin Daily News and Connect Magazine.

Nomination forms can be found at LufkinTexas.org or by contacting the Chamber. Completed nominations to the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce at 1615 S. Chestnut, Lufkin, TX 75901, fax to 936-634-8726 or email Tara Hendrix at THendrix@LufkinTexas.org.
