The Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Tara Watson-Watkins has been selected as the Chamber’s new President and CEO. After an extensive search, the Chamber’s Board of Directors has voted to approve Watson-Watkins for the position. She will assume responsibilities in July.

The Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce Board appointed Jane Ainsworth as Interim President/CEO of the Chamber. This announcement comes after current President Jim Johnson announced his resignation in March. Her term as Interim President/CEO will begin on Monday, April 16^th.

The Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce and the Lufkin/Angelina County Economic Development Partnership (LACEDP) passed a resolution stating their support of the Lufkin ISD Bond Election. After a series of discussions, each board unanimously passed the resolution.

Applications are now available for the 37^th Leadership Lufkin class (2018-2019) Interested candidates will be able to access the application, brochure, and tentative schedule on-line at www.LeadershipLufkin.com, or come by the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce. 

Brookshire Brothers announces the launch of its on-line shopping solution Brookshire Brothers Anywhere. The service, powered by Rosie, provides convenient, easy to use, time saving shopping for folks in Angelina County. The service starts Monday, February 19th with curbside pick-up at its Chestnut and Frank Street locations and delivery within 15 miles of the Frank Street store.
